If anything, the fruit and vegetables you buy directly from the distributor will be fresher than if you bought them at a retail produce store. The industry will have competitive farms, which means you're left with fresh organic produce at discount prices when bought in bulk or directly from distributors. The food industry has the materials to give you a good amount of selection throughout the year. If you want to learn how to buy directly from a company and cutting out retail stores, you will probably have to order a minimum amount for each order to have them deliver to your home.
